Connie Williams, Individual & Family Advocate

Connie joined the staff of Community Advocates in September 2010 as an Individual and Family Advocate.   She is the mother of two sons, one who has traumatic brain injury and is ventilator dependent and one who has autism.   Connie is a graduate of South Central Michigan School of Nursing with a background in nursing management.  For 12 years, she was founder and director of Family Focus for Special Needs in Calhoun County.  Connie is certified in volunteer management and received the Calhoun County JC Penney Golden Rule Award for Community Service in 1996 and 1997.   Connie served on the Michigan Department of Public Health Local Health Issues Subcommittee, Family Support Network of Michigan, Board of Directors of the Calhoun Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Council, and Calhoun County Human Services Coordinating Council as well as participated in the planning of Partners in Care Conference presented by Michigan State University.
