In 1987, President Reagan recognized March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month to increase “public awareness of the needs and the potential of Americans with developmental disabilities” and to provide the “encouragement and opportunities they need to lead productive lives and to achieve their full potential.”
Your donation can make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. With your help, we can continue to provide vital services and support. Every little bit helps, so please consider making a donation today.
We exist as an advocacy organization to make it possible for each person with a developmental disability to participate fully in all aspects of community and to support the effort of each individual to determine their own future.
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
In celebration of our 70th Anniversary we are asking
70 people to donate $70 this giving season!
Over the past seven decades, the field of disability advocacy has seen significant changes, advancements, and challenges. Throughout this period, various movements and organizations have emerged to promote the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with disabilities. As an advocacy agency, we have witnessed and contributed to the evolution of policies, attitudes, and accessibility measures that aim to create a more inclusive society.
